The creator economy was built on a promise: that creators own their brand, their labor, and their financial future. That promise breaks down when predatory, unvetted management strips a creator of control, whether through account lockouts, hidden fees, or deceptive terms.
OFM.Market exists to close that gap. Every contract listed on the Marketplace is reviewed before an agency can acquire it, and every acquiring agency is held to the same standards, regardless of how the creator is compensated.
1. Standards for every compensation model
Contracts on OFM.Market run under one of two structures: a fixed salary with a fully managed account, or a percentage revenue share with shared account access. Both are held to the same core protections.
- Transparent terms — compensation type, payout method, and payment frequency are written directly into the contract, not left as a verbal understanding between agency and creator.
- Equitable structure — revenue-share and salary terms are reviewed for fairness before a listing goes live; we do not list contracts with terms designed to trap a creator in an unfavorable arrangement.
- Clear exit terms — every contract states its duration and how it ends, so a creator's obligations don't extend indefinitely on a technicality.
2. Salary-model account protection
Under a salary arrangement, the agency manages the creator's account directly. That level of access carries real risk if an agency acts in bad faith, whether through wage withholding, locking a creator out, or otherwise mismanaging the account.
If we receive a credible report of account theft, lockout, or other malpractice by an agency placed through OFM.Market, we investigate directly and work to help the affected creator recover access. An agency found responsible for this kind of conduct is removed from the platform and barred from acquiring further contracts.
3. Percentage-model transparency
Under a percentage arrangement, the creator retains shared access to their own account rather than handing over exclusive control. The agency's share, the creator's share, and the payment frequency are fixed in the contract itself, so payout terms can't be quietly renegotiated after the fact.
4. Reporting a concern
If you're a creator, or someone acting in good faith on a creator's behalf, and you believe an agency placed through OFM.Market is engaging in wage theft, account theft, or other exploitative conduct, please contact us. We take these reports seriously and investigate every one.
5. Professionalizing creator management
Unregulated, coercive management has no place in a legitimate creator economy. OFM.Market is committed to filtering out predatory operators and holding every agency on the platform, whatever compensation model they offer, to the same standard of transparency and accountability.
